As we come to the close of another year, I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of everyone here at the station, to wish our listeners, volunteers, presenters, supporters, sponsors, and community partners a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This past year has once again highlighted the importance of local community radio. Our station is more than just a place to hear music or news — it is a platform for local voices, a space for creativity, and a connection point for people across our community. Whether we are sharing local news, celebrating local talent, supporting community events, or simply providing companionship through the airwaves, everything we do is rooted in serving our community.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to our incredible volunteers and presenters. Your generosity with your time, your passion, and your commitment are what keep this station alive. Many of you balance your involvement here with work, family, and other responsibilities, yet you continue to show up with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and I am immensely proud of the team that makes this station what it is.
To our listeners, thank you for tuning in, engaging with us, and supporting community radio. Your messages, feedback, and encouragement mean more than you may realise. Knowing that our programming brings enjoyment, comfort, information, and connection into homes, cars, and workplaces across the area is what motivates us to keep improving and growing.
I would also like to acknowledge our sponsors, funders, and community partners whose ongoing support helps ensure the station remains strong, sustainable, and independent. Your belief in our mission allows us to continue providing a service that truly belongs to the community.
Christmas is a time to reflect on the year that has passed and to appreciate the relationships that matter most. It is also a time of kindness, generosity, and togetherness — values that sit at the very heart of community radio. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together this year and grateful for the sense of community that surrounds this station.
As we look ahead to the New Year, I am excited about the opportunities and projects to come. With your continued support, we will continue to work on strengthening our programming, supporting local voices, and ensuring the station remains a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
I hope this festive season brings you peace, happiness, and time to enjoy with family and friends. Thank you for being part of our community and for supporting your local radio station. From all of us here at the station, Merry Christmas and best wishes for a healthy, happy, and successful New Year.
